We can "Shift Left" with your team and advise on designs as they are considered for migration to the public cloud. AWS Cost optimization Rightsizing and scaling
Just in time capacity of resources and use of elastic auto-scaling. Use the best size resources for your average and burst needs. Help engineers redesign for ephemeral EC2 so you can use auto-scaling at the very least in the Web tier.
AWS Workload Management
Automatically pause, stop or terminate resources based on best practices. Do your development servers really need to be running on the weekends? Pause and restart to save 95% of costs without ANY impact to agility.

Once you know your environment time to commit and save. We have worked with startup companies committing on individual EC2 all the way to negotiating a 5 year $250 million commitment for a fortune 100 company.
AI enabled FinOps 2.0 Tools
From the FinOps X 2023 show in San Diego we have identified some compelling new AI enabled tools to manage cost optimization changes, automating reserved instances and catching anomalies. We use CloudFix for automated resource hygiene and ProsperOps for Reserve Instances.
Resource Hygiene
Create a list of agreed upon cleanup rules and automate their enactment. Terminate unattached Internet Gateways, terminate orphan EBS volumes, migrate untouched storage to other S3 classes, cleanup or migrate un-needed snapshots, alert and pause on database without connections for more than two weeks. Just some of the opportunities.
